The history of ITOCHU dates back to 1858 when the Company’s founder, Chubei Itoh, commenced linen trading operations. Since then, ITOCHU has evolved and grown over 150 years with global trading always at the core of our business. ITOCHU Automobile America Inc. is proud to continue this traditional business function via the Components & Equipment (C&E) business unit. The C&E unit provides import/export services, supplier sourcing & development, and manages all aspects of component supply from customers’ requests for quotes to prototype delivery to VE/VA analysis to the start of production and beyond to post-production service part needs.

Utilizing our fulfillment services we add value for our customers through trade financing, idealized logistics, and ERP driven JIT delivery. We also monitor quality, verify our suppliers execute production orders accurately, and assist in conveying engineering instructions, specification changes, and advise on kaizen based improvements. Utilizing ITOCHU Automobile America Inc.’s C&E business unit allows our customers to enjoy imported component advantages, such as reduced prices or cutting edge technology, while having easy to work with local program and supply-base management.
